Mazin Hamid is an award-winning Sudanese musician, singer, composer, and music producer. Through his music videos and live performances as singer and guitarist, he has become immensely popular in his home country and also in the wider Arabic-speaking world. His lyrics often have a social or political message and he has been an important voice for the democratic movement in Sudan. He has produced the sound tracks for several films, including Goodbye Julia, which won the Freedom prize at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival.
